Important Information


Wheelchair and Occupant Restraints
 

  • Unless stated otherwise, all restraints are for forward facing wheelchairs and occupants only.
  • Do not exceed the maximum quoted weight for wheelchair restraints (tie-downs).
  • As a guide, a wheelchair user should have space of about 1300mm long by 750mm wide, with enough headroom, to allow for wheelchair manoeuvre and passenger comfort.
  • Within this space, 650mm should be clear from the front of the wheelchair occupant’s head forward, and 400mm clear from the back of the head rearward.
  • Always ensure that a wheelchair AND occupant restraint is used at all times.
  • If any part of a restraint becomes damaged, or webbing frayed, DO NOT USE the restraint
     

Rail
 

  • For maximum operational efficiency, particularly with seat fixings, ensure all rails are flat and parallel when fitted
  • Regular cleaning of the rail will maintain operational efficiency
  • Ensure rail is fitted in a way to ensure it meets the minimum installation requirements for the particular vehicle and its use
  • We recommend that all rail fitting be carried out by competent persons (i.e. vehicle converters)
     

Removable Seat Fixings
 

  • Seat fixings should be fitted to the seat legs and then set accurately to the rail centres.
  • Ensure ALL holes on the seat legs are used to fit seat fixings.
     

Training
 

  • We are able to offer a cost-effective training service for companies and organisations. This can include training on one product or all Koller products, and can be tailored to customer needs.
  • Training can be carried out at your place of business, or on-site at Koller Engineering Ltd.
     

Manufacturing
 

  • We have our own in-house fully equipped CNC and assembly workshops and therefore are pleased to consider manufacturing to the customer’s own specification. Quotation provided on request.
     

General
 

  • Any product supplied by Koller Engineering Ltd MUST NOT be modified in any way, unless with prior permission, as it will invalidate any warranty and may compromise the safety of the product. Koller Engineering Ltd will not be liable for any consequences arising from such modifications.
