Auto Electric Retractor


The crash tested Koller Automatic Electric Retractor Wheelchair Tie-downs are designed for use in the confines of smaller vehicles, for securing the front of forward facing wheelchairs. Bolted directly to the vehicle, they can be situated discreetly i.e. behind a bulkhead.
 

Operation is via a switch (not supplied) connected to the vehicle’s electrical system, allowing the belts to be extended to the required length and “reeled in” after fitting to the wheelchair. Rear straps (such as those from the Koller Heavy Duty 4-Point Wheelchair Restraint) secure the rear of the wheelchair and tension the system, thus ensuring safety in event of an emergency. Movement of the wheelchair during transit is also prevented, thus aiding occupant comfort. “Closed-end” fittings prevent detachment from the wheelchair.

KFP0071 2 x Auto Electric Retractors (detachable karabiner fittings) An occupant restraint (i.e. TITUS Harness) MUST also be used. Auto Electric Retractors must only be used to secure the FRONT of a forward facing wheelchair. Appropriate rear straps (i.e. from Excel Heavy Duty 4-Point) must be used to secure the wheelchair at the rear.
