IRiS


The new and improved IRIS is the only wheelchair and passenger restraint that doesn't require front wheelchair tie-down straps.  It is a fixed base system that will fit floor rails between 325mm and 335mm centres.  It uses EXCEL COMPACT type straps with karabiner fittings to secure the wheelchair.  The quick-release TITUS passenger harness secures the occupant.

  • Complete wheelchair restraint and passenger harness solution without the need for front tie-down straps
  • Maintains paasenger dignity
  • Crash-tested to ISO 10542 for wheelchairs up to 85kg
  • Non-handed.  The quick-release TITUS passenger harness enables the belts and stalk to be used on both sides
  • Colour-coded belts on TITUS harness: black lap belt, blue diagonal belt
  • Maximum occupant comfort: standard TITUS harness with Comfort Clip, or 3-point harness options
  • Protective covers on belt retractors AND stalk

Koller recommend the use of a TITUS 3-point Passenger Harness if possible.  However, some vehicle designs may not have provision for the upper anchorage.  Also, some medical / postural conditons may not allow it to be used.
