Koller Launches High Capacity Wheelchair Tie-Down Retractor

Koller has launched the next-generation i-ON; a high-capacity electrical wheelchair tie-down retractor. Featuring an extended strap length and robust protective cover, i-ON has been designed with safety at its core.

The new and improved i-ON retractor has been developed with its user in mind. “Following feedback from our customers we have extended the length of the strap to 4.20 metres. This allows for the easy fitting of the straps to the front of the wheelchair on a level surface outside of the vehicle,” explained Dean Koller, Director at Koller Engineering. “The extra-long strap can be fitted to the wheelchair before it is on the vehicle’s ramp, and is the safest and most preferable way to attach the tie-down retractor.

“We have also added a robust protective cover. The strong metal cover will keep all the inner workings covered to ensure they always work as they should. It also adds to the longevity of the retractor to increase the product’s lifetime and maintain Koller’s product quality status.”

i-ON can be easily connected to a vehicles 12-volt electrical system with the belt conveniently retracting when the power is turned off. With an integrated belt guide to stop the webbing from twisting, i-ON will retract into its compact and robust casing with ease. Simply fit to a vehicle with a one-bolt fixing which allows easy and discreet installation.
