Koller Celebrates Four Decades of Providing Products for Safe Accessible Travel

Published: 10th November 2020

Family-run business, Koller Engineering is celebrating a major milestone in the company’s history having reached its 40th anniversary.

Initially founded in 1980 by Max Koller, the Somerset-based company, has grown to be leaders in the WAV industry designing and manufacturing products to make travel safe for wheelchair users. Now managed by Max’s children, Dean and Leoni, the company continues to be a trailblazer of highly innovative passenger wheelchair restraints and associated equipment.

“We noticed that there was very little choice in the market for wheelchair passenger restraints and equipment for wheelchair accessible vehicles,” explained Dean Koller, Director. “We believed this offered a great opportunity for Koller to provide superior products, a better customer experience and very competitive pricing. And this ethos still stands today.

“It means a lot to us to be celebrating this significant milestone and continuing our success despite the challenges this year has presented. We have always provided the very best products, together with the very best in customer service and 2020 has been no different.

“Our dedicated team always ensure that everyone receives the same personal service, whether they order one wheelchair restraint, or place an order for a fleet of 200 vehicles. We make sure we listen to our customers’ needs and provide innovative products that work efficiently and effectively, whilst still delivering a personal service that exceeds expectations.

“Over the years we have strategically managed our size and kept our core values at the centre of all our decisions and, as a result, we have been able to maintain a strong family ethos within the business. I think it is this that has kept Koller going strong for so many years, even through the current pandemic and puts us above the competition.

"We look forward to continuing to offer a quality products and a reliable service for both new customers and existing loyal partners in the years to come,” concluded Dean.
